Week 3 - Hanging Back

Well, it's another week at the gym. I will follow my usual routine this week but I will not include the Tabata sprints tonight. I don't see being able to pull that off tonight at all. I have been using Acai Berry juice and Green Tea Extract for a week now and I have to say, I feel a lot 'cleaner' inside. I should, this stuff has been tearing me up for a week now. I look good, feel great but nobody can stand to be around me. Acai Berry juice and Green Tea extract tend to help you lose weight by ridding your body of toxins and unwanted fat. Unfortunately, it chooses your backside as the port-of-exit. This, I have to imagine, is at least a full-time arrangement for the first weeks. I chose the store brand juice from The Vitamin Shoppe as well as the Green Tea extract pills as I can't take drinking tea. Both work in concert to help prevent fat accumulation as well as shedding existing fat. Although after a week, I haven't seen any real significant losses, I have to be more patient and diligent as I continue this more natural weight less regimen. It has been one week since the start of the paleolithic eating plan and already I am tired of it. I think I will look at it as more of a staple of eating and allow myself some occasional indulgences. I don't see why I should have to completely deny myself some of my favorite foods if I can keep the portions under control. Everything in moderation, except effort in the gym, of course.
At least tonight is arms. I look forward to every arm workout because its results I can see every time. I particularly look forward to doing dips as I think my triceps have historically been the most underdeveloped muscle I've had until now. Its also the most consistent workout I have throughout the week. I'm hoping at this point that I can draw enough motivation to get through the rest of the week. I have been steady at 195 for the majority of the last three weeks. I'd LOVE to know how many pounds of actual fat I have lost. I guess I'll never really know, but the numbers that tell me what my body fat index is are telling me that progress is being made. From a 28% body fat to a 16.4% reading in a 5 month span has thrilled me, but I want more. I have a long way to go before I get to where I want to be, but I will remain faithful to the mission - decreased body fat and overall fitness, not necessarily in that order.

Meh. I'm suspicious of all this substances that supposedly rid your body of "toxins". What toxins exactly? No one's been able to tell me.

The best way is not to put toxins in your body in the first place by eating as much unprocessed foods as possible. I eat brown rice, frozen veggies, and grill my own chicken breasts from the supermarket. Yeah, I'm probably getting more than my share of growth hormones, but hey, at least I'll be bigger!

Diet right and exercise and you're 90% of the way there, I say.
